After 53 years in business, Maple Street Book Shop will close its doors for the final time on June 17, the owners announced Monday morning. The bookstore, which carries a near cult following for its mission to “Fight the Stupids,” nearly closed in 2015, but after community support doubled sales, owner Gladin Scott decided to keep the business open.
