If you grew up in the Pacific Northwest, odds are that you not only remember Pay ‘N Pak stores, but remember their championship hydroplane, Pride of Pay ‘N Pak. It was always cool to see a locally sponsored boat giving big-name, nationally sponsored boats like the Miss Budweiser a run for their money. Of course, this was back when Seafair was cool and more like one big regional party out on the lake, but like most things, they change for the worse over time.
