Stompers were a line of motorized toy trucks with real 4X4 drive trains and working headlights. Needing just one AA battery, these trucks were truly four-wheel drive and went just about anywhere kids pointed them. They were not remote control, or even steerable. But they did sport changeable tires and came with highly detailed painted plastic bodies based on “real” 4×4 vehicles. (Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Jeep, Toyota, etc. In addition to the vehicles, Stomper branded playsets were also available which allowed kids to create their own off-road tracks indoors, including faux rocks and logs as obstacles.
