Takara G.I. Joe

In Japan, Takara released 24 G.I.Joe & Cobra figures in 1986. These figures were just like their U.S. counterparts, but were offered on more vibrant card backs with a Japanese market-specific logo and a mix of Japanese Kanji and American English text. The subtext over the logo read “We are here to help . let’s go, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go.” followed by “The strongest extracurricular team on the ground.” There were however some differences here and there, one of which was that Zartan was offered as a single-carded figure that did not include his Swamp Skier vehicle.
