Lords of Salem gets a lot of grief for some reason, but I’ve never understood the hate myself. If anything, it’s got a bunch of pieces, some of which might be real and some of which might be dreams or visions or whatever within the context of the film. With that said, it’s kind of like a Kubrik film that leaves half the audience going “WTF was that?” while the other half are like “fuck yeah, that was awesome!” And even then, a good chunk of the WTF people are just Rob Zombie haters who either just hate everything he does or are overly critical for some unknown reason. So if you haven’t seen it, please do, and if you have, give it another go as it’s even better a second time IMHO.
