Given that what is usually the running track in Memorial Stadium is instead filled with water for the water ski show of the time, the photo most likely dates from 1962, during the Century 21 World’s Fair. Seem as if they’re flying a little low, and a little close to the Space Needle? Well, the phone call from the Federal Aviation Administration Dad received the day after this photo ran suggests they noticed that too.” – Mike Scully
