These days everything is a ‘barn find’ so it’s nice to come across an actual barn find that was literally in a barn and not just a well cared for car someone covered in dirt to claim the barn find title as part of their sale. While it’s no matching numbers unicorn car, it is one badass ride, and we’re glad to see it back on the street in its pretty much as found state. As the story goes, this ’67 RS/SS Camaro was procured sometime in the ’70s as a roller after the then owner wrecked their ’69 Chevelle SS 396. The Chevelle’s potent powertrain, which included an M22 Rock Crusher 4-speed, the heavy-duty transmission that came to be as a way to accommodate the heavy twist of Chevrolet’s big-blocks, was dropped into the Camaro and was rumbling down the road again. After last being registered in 1982, this street beast sat in a fairly well protected barn near Kingston, New York with a mere 2,800 miles in the clock. Dig it and drive, brother!
