RoboCop’s History of Video Game Appearances

RoboCop has captivated audiences ever since the late 80s, and the crime-fighting cyborg’s been in more video games than you might think.

Many fans are ecstatic after learning that action hero RoboCop will be appearing as a playable fighter in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath DLC. RoboCop rose to fame after starring in a series of action movies released in the late 80s and early 90s. The films tell the story of police officer Alex Murphy as he cleans up the rough streets of Detroit as a robot/human hybrid named RoboCop. The films accumulated a decently sized following, and the success of the films pole-vaulted RoboCop into the limelight, causing the 80s action hero to materialize in more than just the big screen.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath isn’t RoboCop’s first time in a video game. The half-man half-machine peacekeeper appeared in a handful of games following his film debut.
