Myron Fohr Says Blatz is Milwaukee’s Finest Beer

And he’s from Milwaukee, so he ought to know! Best on dirt tracks, Myron Fohr (1912 – 1994) was also competent with stock cars. Fohr was lucky to live after being badly hurt in a hit-and-run car accident when he was eighteen, but despite this – or maybe because of it – Fohr started racing soon afterwards. His best years – at least at a higher level – were in 1948 and 1949, when he won 4 IndyCar races, including twice at the Milwaukee dirt oval, but also at Springfield and Trenton.
