Rebel Gas

The Rebel Gas Company was based out of Whistler, Alabama, and had 25 Rebel Gas stations and another 75 locations branded as Dixieland. They could be found from southern Mississippi and Alabama all the way down into the Florida panhandle. They were bought out in 1964, and by the late ’60s, the Rebel brand was phased out, though many Dixieland stations continued to operate under the Dixieland name.
