Thurston Moore’s Washing Machine Era Jazzmaster

With a single custom Humbucker grafted into the bridge position, and a standard P90 in the neck spot, this Fender Jazzmaster was one of Thurston Moore’s main guitars. This rig was tuned in GGDDD#D# and was heavily used and in the ’90s Washing Machine era. This is the same axe that was stolen on the morning of July 4, 1999, when a Ryder truck holding Sonic Youth’s massive collection of one-of-a-kind modified touring gear (amps, drums, pedals, guitars) was stolen in Orange County, California.
