Phone Sex with a Meteorologist

Remember when The Weather Channel set up a 900 number and charged callers to have Meteorologist Charlie Welsh deliver a lust-laden weather report? “Today it’s going to be pretty moist, so be prepared to get really wet…” Ok, maybe that wasn’t exactly what it was about, but it is pretty astounding that people were paying .35 a minute to get a weather report. On July 3, 1991, The Weather Channel Connection was launched. Originally 1-900-288-8800, the phone number was reassigned in 1992 to 1-900-WEATHER (or 1-900-932-8437), a number was also used to promote the service in on-air and print advertisements.
