Magna was a lower, mid-tier cigarette brand targeted at male smokers who maybe couldn’t afford the big-name smokes, but still didn’t want to be seen with a generic brand. Like the bigger brands, Magna ran countless promotions that could earn loyal smokers cool logo swag, the most common of which was their chrome logo t-shirt, which apparently Charlie Kelly saved up for on IASIP. Despite filtered and the packs being labeled with ‘smooth full flavor,’ they were known to be a pretty harsh smoke, more akin to an unfiltered smoke which earned them the nickname of ‘Magma’ by many smokers. Choosing Magna was said to give the user ‘magnatude’ or at least that was their marketing spin.
