Who knew searching for O.C.’s best dive bars could spark such a hearty debate among friends and strangers? Everyone, it turns out, had differing opinions for what constitutes a true “dive.” In the end, we agreed on a few common rules:
There’s got to be some grit and grime, but character for sure. A jukebox, ideally. A pool table or darts. Scruffy regulars, of course. And the number one qualifier? Icky, sometimes scary, bathrooms. At least you can count on the drinks to be cheap and stiff.
