The Revolver Golden Gods Awards took place on April 23, 2014 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles and saw appearances by Joan Jett, Guns N’ Roses, and Zakk Wylde, the latter of whom performed an In memoriam tribute for some of hard rock and heavy metal’s musicians who’ve died in recent years.
As Wylde performed the piano piece “In This River,” a tune he wrote for the late guitarist Dimebag Darrell of Pantera and Damageplan, a screen behind him showed images of the late musicians, along with their name, band, and birth/death years.
