Mr. Eggo guarantees Eggo Waffles. In 1953, the Dorsa brothers introduced the toaster-ready frozen waffles to supermarkets throughout the US. Frank Dorsa had been making a waffle mix for restaurants since the 1930s, and figured out how to bake and freeze waffles for retail sale. The Eggo Fine Foods company’s first product was mayonnaise, and also produced potato chips, as can be seen in the photo.
