So, was this feat of cinema trickery accomplished using cutting-edge Hollywood special effects? A midget in a hair suit with prosthetics? No, dear reader, it was neither of those things.

To achieve a level of horror previously unseen by the movie-going public that has yet to be matched in the decades that followed, this monumental terror that will give you nightmares for the rest of your life was achieved by simply putting a Bob Hope mask on a chimpanzee 😱
