700 Miles in an Original International Scout to Deliver a Brick

Our International Scout road trip’s purpose was to transport a brick from the old International Harvester factory in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Blythewood, South Carolina, where it would be used in the new Scout Motors plant. For those unfamiliar, Volkswagen purchased the Scout name, establishing Scout as an independently operated American company that will produce all-electric pickup trucks and SUVs. To transport said brick, we had a fleet of five Scouts, three in original condition and two modified.
