Happy Birthday to Champion Flat Track Racer Tammy Sessions

Happy 69th birthday to Tammy Sessions, champion flat track and cross-country racer of the 70s! What a perfect person to help us celebrate International Women’s Day! Tammy is from Tacoma, WA, and grew up racing motorcycles– her first race was at just 12 years old. Her dad, who wanted all boys and got all girls, put his daughters on motorcycles almost as soon as they could walk. She’s an 18-time winner and is now the President of the Pacific Northwest Museum of Motorcycling and works as an artist. It was actually through Sideburn Magazine and this lovely lady I was able to get in touch with Debbi Selden, the first woman to receive a pro MX racing license from the AMA. H/T>
