Chevy Vega 350 V8 Prototype

The Chevrolet Vega is a frequently modified vehicle due to the car’s relatively low price when new and its small, lightweight stature, with V8 swaps being particularly common. Chevrolet itself even built a V8 Vega prototype in 1972, which featured an all-aluminum 286 cubic-inch V8, though it never entered production. Not everyone like the Chevy Vega, and it’s totally understandable, but this particular car is a GM prototype survivor showing only 392 original miles. Of course, this 1975 Chevy Vega GT powered by 350 V8 engine has lived its whole life in private collections, and while cars are meant to be driven, I think pieces of American automotive history like this gem must stay out of the road in order to be preserved… read more >
